6-Week Fitness Challenge

This challenge is open to all athletes and Unified partners!
The challenge will officially start Monday, January 18 and end Monday, March 1.
Participants will test and increase their fitness in 5 different exercises over a 6-week period: Push Ups, Squats, Jumping Jacks, Boxing & Curl Ups
Equipment needed: A timer and your body!

Here's how it works

REGISTER: Click here to register for the challenge.

 

PRACTICE: Practice each exercise at least 5 days a week. Record your best scores from each practice session on the weekly scorecard. The goal is to see how many of each exercise you can do in one minute. I.e. How many push ups can you do in 1 minute? How many curl ups can you do in 1 minute?…

 

SUBMIT YOUR SCORES WEEKLY: At the end of each week, submit a weekly scorecard. At the end of the challenge you should have turned in 6 scorecards.  Participants will be scored on their overall performance for each exercise, as well as how well they improved from Week 1 to Week 6.

Download a copy of the 6-Week Fitness Challenge Overview and Weekly Scorecard.  This overview will explain how to perform each exercise correctly and also provides a modified version of each exercise to make accommodate all ability levels. The overview and scorecards can also be mailed to participants upon request.

Fit5 Resources

Fit5 is based on the three simple goals of exercising 5 times a week, eating 5 total fruits and vegetables each day and drinking 5 bottles of water each day. By participating in this challenge it will help you achieve your exercising goal, but be sure to also eat your fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated!
